The Client Calendar Now Groups Each Day by Route

Each day on the Client Calendar is now split into route sections, with the value booked on that route underneath its name. Unassigned work gathers in a No route section at the bottom of the day.

What's new

Route sections on every day

  • Each day is grouped by route. A day cell used to be one flat, alphabetical list of clients. It now opens a short section per route that has work that day, with the client rows for that route underneath it. Clients are still listed alphabetically inside each route.
  • The value booked on each route is shown on a second line under the route name, so you can see what a day's work is worth route by route without opening anything.
  • Unassigned work sits in a "No route" section, always pinned to the bottom of the day and greyed out rather than flagged as a warning — activities that are not on a route yet are normal, not errors.
  • The sections are always open. There is no extra chevron to click and nothing new to collapse; routes are separated by whitespace only, so every row in a day keeps the same left edge and the narrow week and month columns stay readable.
  • The month view gets the same grouping in smaller type, so busy days simply grow taller in the month grid.

How it behaves with filters

  • A client working two routes in one day appears under both, each row holding only that route's work. The two rows expand independently, so you can open one route without opening the other.
  • Route totals ignore cancelled work, on or off. Turning Show cancelled on can bring back a route whose work that day was all cancelled — showing a zero value — but it never moves a route's figure.
  • A route filtered down to nothing disappears completely. Filtering by tag, or setting the route filter to In a route or Not in a route, removes the whole section rather than leaving an empty header behind.
  • The four summary cards are unchanged, still totalling every visible activity across the whole week or month.

Why this matters

The calendar already told you who you were seeing on a given day; it now tells you how that day is organized into routes, and what each route is worth. That makes it much faster to judge whether a day's routes are balanced, to spot a route with only one or two stops left on it, and to see at a glance how much work is still waiting to be assigned to a route at all.

How to get started

Open the Client Calendar and look at any busy day — the route sections are there already, no setup needed. Set the Route filter to Not in a route to see only the No route sections and plan what still needs assigning.
