Route Notes
You can now attach an optional note to a route — a free-text message for the team member(s) assigned to work it.
What's new
- Notes field on the create-route and edit-route forms in the Route Planner. Use it for day-specific reminders such as a gate code, parking instructions, or a request to call a customer first.
- Dashboard display — when a note is set, it appears as a labeled callout next to the route on the Dashboard, in both the daily and weekly views. Line breaks are preserved so multi-line instructions display exactly as entered.
- Hidden when empty — routes without a note show nothing; there's no empty section or placeholder.
- Notes can be up to 2,000 characters and are shared by everyone assigned to the route.
Why this matters
Planners can now pass along the small but important details a route needs — access codes, parking, special customer requests — directly to the people doing the work, without sending a separate message.
How to get started
- Open the Route Planner and create or edit a route.
- Type your message in the Notes field and save.
Assigned employees will see the note on their Dashboard. See Creating a Route for full details.
