Finished Jobs on the Client Calendar, an Organization Communication Language, and Breadcrumbs
Three improvements this release: the Client Calendar shows at a glance which work is done and brings you back to the same week, your organization now has a default language for everything sent to clients, and a breadcrumb trail takes you back to where you were — including an unsaved invoice draft.
What's new
Client Calendar
- Finished jobs stand out. Completed activities get a green tile with a check mark; activities marked Can't Complete get an amber tile with a warning triangle, because they still need follow-up. A very important job keeps its highlighted border and takes the green or amber background once it is finished.
- Client rows roll up the day. A client whose activities that day are all completed shows a green check and a green count. An amber dot flags a client with an activity that couldn't be completed. Cancelled activities are ignored.
- Open an activity in one click from the expanded tile. The expanded tile's title is now a link, and the small "View details" link is now an Open activity button.
- Come back to the same week. The week or month you are viewing is part of the page address. After opening an activity, the breadcrumb or your browser's Back button returns you to the same week, with the same clients and tiles expanded and the same scroll position.
- The filter bar stays in view. On desktops and tablets, the date navigation and filters stay pinned below the top menu while you scroll. On phones the bar scrolls away as before, so it doesn't take up the screen.
Organization default communication language
- One language setting for all client communication. Organization Settings has a new Default Communication Language section, next to the default tax settings. It sets the language of invoice and credit note emails, payment reminders, scheduled WhatsApp reminders and other WhatsApp messages sent to clients.
- Clients inherit it by default. On the client create form and the client's Language Preference section, the first option is Use organization default (…). Those clients follow the organization setting, so changing it from English to Nederlands switches all of them at once. Clients set to a specific language keep it.
- Choose it when you create an organization. The new-organization form asks for the communication language, pre-selected to the language you use FlowForth in.
- Reminders use the client's language, not the language of the person sending them. The Send Reminder dialog shows which language will be used.
- Nothing changes on day one. Existing organizations start with English. Clients that were on English now use the organization default, and clients set to Dutch keep Dutch.
Breadcrumbs that remember where you came from
- A breadcrumb on most pages shows the pages you came through, such as Home > Invoicing dashboard > INV-2026-0042 > Window wash. Click any step to go back to it. It replaces the separate "← Back to …" links on detail pages.
- It never loops. Going back to a page that is already in the breadcrumb rewinds to it instead of adding it again, so the trail stays short however often you go back and forth.
- Returning puts you back where you left off, with the same scroll position and, on a draft invoice, your unsaved selections, price overrides, extra lines, discount and notes.
- Following up a review from an invoice no longer opens new tabs. Activity links on an invoice open in the same tab. After you click Mark Resolved, a Back to (invoice) button takes you straight back to the invoice, which now shows the review as resolved.
- The menu starts a fresh trail, and Ctrl+click (Cmd+click on a Mac) or middle-click still opens any link in a new tab.
Why this matters
On the calendar, you can now tell a finished day from an unfinished one without opening anything, and checking an activity no longer loses your place. The organization language means Dutch-speaking businesses no longer have to set every client to Dutch by hand. And the breadcrumbs turn the "needs review" follow-up from a pile of tabs and a stale invoice into a single round-trip.
How to get started
- Open the Client Calendar, expand a client and a tile, and click Open activity. Then click Client Calendar in the breadcrumb.
- Administrators: open Settings → Organization and choose your Default Communication Language.
- Open a draft invoice with an activity that needs review, click the arrow next to the activity, and resolve it.
