What Happens When You Delete a Client

warning

Deleting a client is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you no longer need the client record before proceeding.

When a client is deleted:

  • The client record is permanently removed.
  • The client's notification preferences are deleted.
  • Locations associated with the client may still exist independently.
  • Invoices that were already generated for the client are preserved for audit purposes.
  • Activities linked to the client's locations are not affected.

Before You Delete

Before deleting a client, consider whether you still need:

  • Historical invoice records linked to the client
  • Activity history at the client's locations
  • Any notification preference records for compliance

If you need to preserve this information, consider exporting relevant data first.

Who Can Delete Clients?

Only users with the Organization Admin role can delete clients. If you don't see the delete option, you may not have sufficient permissions.
