Inventory Overview
FlowForth's inventory management system lets you track supplies, tools, equipment, and consumables across your organization. Inventory is loaded onto vehicles, and employees assigned to those vehicles can submit end-of-shift inventory reports and request additional supplies.
Key Concepts
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Supply Item | A catalog entry in your organization's inventory (e.g., "Glass Cleaner", "Mop Head", "Latex Gloves"). Defined by admins. |
| Vehicle | A van or car that carries supplies. Assigned to one or more employees. |
| Vehicle Assignment | Links employees to vehicles. An employee can be assigned to multiple vehicles, and a vehicle can have multiple assigned employees. |
| Vehicle Inventory | The current allocation of supply items loaded onto a specific vehicle, with expected quantities set by admins. |
| Inventory Report | An end-of-shift submission by an assigned employee documenting current stock levels on their vehicle. |
| Inventory Request | A request from an employee for additional supplies they need on their vehicle. |
| Low Stock Threshold | A minimum quantity configured per supply item. When a vehicle's reported stock falls at or below this level, the item is flagged as low stock. |
How It Works
- Admins set up the supply catalog — Define supply items with names, categories, units, and optional low stock thresholds.
- Admins create vehicles — Add vehicles and assign employees to them.
- Admins allocate inventory — Set expected quantities of supply items on each vehicle.
- Employees submit reports — At the end of a shift, assigned employees report current stock levels on their vehicle.
- Low stock alerts fire — When reported quantities fall at or below the threshold, admins receive alerts.
- Employees request supplies — Employees can submit requests for additional supplies they need.
- Admins review and action — Admins review reports, approve or deny requests, and manage restocking.
