Low Stock Monitoring

FlowForth automatically tracks inventory levels across all your vehicles and alerts you when items fall below their configured thresholds. This helps you stay ahead of restocking needs.

info

Only administrators can view the low stock overview.

How Low Stock Alerts Work

  1. An admin sets a low stock threshold on a supply item (e.g., "Alert when Glass Cleaner drops to 2 or below").
  2. An employee submits an inventory report for their vehicle.
  3. FlowForth compares the reported quantity against the threshold.
  4. If the reported quantity is at or below the threshold, a low stock alert is generated.
  5. The alert appears on the admin dashboard and the Low Stock Overview page.

Accessing the Low Stock Overview

Navigate to InventoryLow Stock in the sidebar, or go to /inventory/low-stock.

Understanding the Low Stock Page

The page shows all vehicle inventory items that are currently at or below their threshold, aggregated across all vehicles.

You can view the data:

  • Grouped by supply item — See which items are low across multiple vehicles.
  • Grouped by vehicle — See which vehicles need restocking.

Severity Indicators

Items are visually marked based on how far below the threshold they are:

  • At threshold — The item is exactly at the minimum level.
  • Below threshold — The item is well below the minimum and needs urgent attention.

Dashboard Widget

The admin dashboard includes a low stock summary widget that shows:

  • The total count of items below threshold across all vehicles.
  • A link to the full Low Stock Overview page for details.

Tips for Effective Monitoring

  • Set thresholds for items that are critical or consumed quickly.
  • Review the low stock page regularly to plan restocking runs.
  • Use inventory reports to keep stock levels up to date — encourage employees to submit reports at the end of every shift.
