Cancelled Activities
Cancelled activities in FlowForth behave like soft-deleted items — they are hidden from default views to reduce visual clutter, but their full history is preserved and they can be restored when needed.
Why Cancelled Activities Are Hidden
When an activity is cancelled, it no longer represents planned or completed work. Keeping cancelled activities visible alongside active ones can make it harder to focus on what matters. FlowForth hides them by default across:
- Activity Planner
- Dashboard and Map
- Activity Reports
- Location detail views
Revealing Cancelled Activities
Each of the views listed above includes a "Show cancelled" toggle. Turn it on to reveal cancelled activities alongside your active work. The toggle is session-only — it resets when you leave or reload the page.
When cancelled activities are shown, they are displayed with:
- Muted / strikethrough styling to visually distinguish them from active activities.
- A "Cancelled" badge on the status indicator.
Use the "Show cancelled" toggle when you need to review past cancellations, check what was cancelled for a specific location, or restore an activity that was cancelled by mistake.
Cancelled Activities and Reports
Cancelled activities are excluded from all summary statistics and counts by default:
- Activity Reports — Cancelled activities do not count toward forecasted revenue, completed revenue, or activity totals.
- Revenue Reports — Cancelled activities are excluded from revenue calculations.
Use the "Show cancelled" toggle on the Activity Reports page to include cancelled activities in the report data when needed.
Restoring Cancelled Activities
Administrators and managers can restore a cancelled activity back to Scheduled status. This is useful when an activity was cancelled by mistake or when circumstances change.
From the Activity Detail Page
- Open the cancelled activity's detail page.
- Click the Restore button.
- Confirm the action in the dialog. The activity will be set back to Scheduled status.
From the Activity Planner
- Enable the "Show cancelled" toggle to reveal cancelled activities.
- Find the cancelled activity in the list.
- Click the Restore option in the row action menu.
- Confirm the action.
An activity cannot be restored if it is linked to a non-cancelled invoice. In that case, the invoice must be handled first.
Who Can Restore Activities?
Only users with the Administrator or Manager role can restore cancelled activities. Employees can see cancelled activities when the toggle is on but cannot restore them.
