How to create an activity in FlowForth

Watch: Creating an activity step by step

Before You Begin

You need the Organization Admin role to create activities. You must also have at least one location set up, since every activity belongs to a location.

Step-by-Step

  1. Navigate to the location detail page for the location where the activity will take place.
  2. In the Activities section, click the Add Activity button.
  3. A form will appear with the following fields.

Basic Information

  • Title (required) — A short name describing the work to be performed (e.g., "Weekly garden maintenance").
  • Description (optional) — Additional details about the activity.
  • Scheduled Date (required) — The date the activity is planned for.
  • Start Time (optional) — When the activity should begin.
  • End Time (optional) — When the activity should end.

Pricing

  • Price (optional) — The amount to charge for this activity. This will be used when generating invoices.

Tags

  • Tags (optional) — Select one or more tags to categorize this activity. Tags help you filter and organize activities in the planner view.
tip

If you have tag rules configured, tags may be applied automatically based on the location's address details.

Recurrence

If this activity needs to repeat on a regular schedule, you can configure recurrence settings:

  • Recurring — Toggle to enable recurring scheduling.
  • Repeat Pattern — How often the activity repeats: Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
  • Repeat Interval — Repeat every N periods (e.g., every 2 weeks).
  • Days of Week — For weekly or bi-weekly patterns, select which days the activity occurs.
  • End Date (optional) — When the recurrence should stop. If not set, instances will be generated up to a system-defined limit.

See Recurring Activities for more details on how recurring scheduling works.
