Troubleshooting Guide

General troubleshooting steps for common issues in FlowForth.

Page Won't Load or Shows an Error

  1. Refresh the page — Press Ctrl+R (or Cmd+R on Mac) to reload.
  2. Clear your browser cache — Cached data can sometimes cause display issues.
  3. Try a different browser — Test in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge to rule out browser-specific issues.
  4. Check your internet connection — FlowForth requires a stable internet connection.

If the problem persists, note any error message displayed and contact support.

Changes Aren't Saving

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  • Check that you have the required permissions for the action. Some features are restricted to Organization Admins.
  • If you see a validation error, review the form fields for missing or invalid data.

I Can't Find a Feature

  • Check your role — Some features are only visible to Organization Admins. See Understanding User Roles.
  • Check integrations — Features like notifications and e-invoicing only appear when their integration is active. See Integrations Overview.
  • Check navigation — Use the main navigation menu to access major sections (Dashboard, Activities, Routes, Invoices, Notifications, Settings).

Activities Are Missing from the Planner

  • Verify the activity is scheduled for the date you're viewing on the Route Planner.
  • Check that the activity hasn't been cancelled or deleted.
  • Use the filters on the planner to ensure you're not filtering out the activity.

Notifications Are Not Being Sent

See Notifications FAQ for a detailed checklist. Quick checks:

  1. Notifications integration is active.
  2. Client has WhatsApp consent and a valid phone number.
  3. Notification preferences are configured for the client.
  4. The activity is on an assigned route.

Invoice Calculations Look Wrong

  • Check the VAT rate configured on the invoice or individual line items.
  • Verify any discounts applied to the invoice.
  • If you changed activity prices after creating the invoice, the invoice may reflect the old prices. Draft invoices can be edited; sent invoices are frozen.

Map or Address Validation Issues

  • Ensure you've entered a complete address including street, city, postal code, and country.
  • If the map marker is in the wrong location, try adjusting the address or use the map to manually position the marker.

Import Problems

See Data Import FAQ for common import issues. Quick checks:

  • File is in CSV format with UTF-8 encoding.
  • All required fields are present in every row.
  • The column count matches what FlowForth expects.

Performance Issues

If FlowForth feels slow:

  1. Close unused browser tabs — Too many open tabs can affect performance.
  2. Clear browser cache — Old cached data can slow things down.
  3. Check your internet speed — A slow connection affects load times.
  4. Try a different browser — Some browsers handle web apps better than others.
