Route Planning FAQ
Common questions about route planning and management in FlowForth.
Who can create and manage routes?
Only Organization Admins can create, edit, and delete routes. Regular employees can view routes assigned to them and update activity statuses. See Understanding User Roles.
How do I create a route?
Navigate to the Route Planner page, select a date, and click the button to create a new route. See Creating a Route for the step-by-step guide.
How are travel times calculated?
FlowForth calculates travel time and distance between consecutive activities on a route using real road data. This includes time in minutes and distance in kilometers.
Can I assign multiple users to a route?
Yes. A route can have one or more team members assigned to it. See Assigning Users to Routes.
What are the route statuses?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Created but no team members assigned yet |
| Assigned | One or more team members are assigned |
| In Progress | Work on the route has started |
| Completed | All activities are finished |
| Cancelled | The route was cancelled |
How do I add activities to a route?
Use the Route Planner page to drag and drop activities onto routes, or assign them from the activity detail page. See Assigning Activities to Routes.
What are route templates?
Route templates let you save a route configuration and reuse it for future dates. This is useful for recurring schedules where the same activities need to be planned regularly. See Route Templates.
Can I see routes on a map?
Yes. The Activity Map provides a visual map view showing route activities and their locations. See Using the Activity Map.
How do I use the calendar on the Route Planner?
The Route Planner includes a calendar control for fast date navigation. Use it to jump to a specific date and view or manage routes for that day. See The Route Planner Page.
An activity isn't showing up on the planner
Activities must be scheduled for the date you're viewing on the Route Planner. Check that the activity's scheduled date matches the selected date. Also verify the activity hasn't been cancelled.
